Gibson Lespaul GT Review

The Gibson Les Paul GT is clearly designed for professional guitarists who need a high-end model capable of meeting the requirements of the scene. All equipment is optimized to a level that one would like : a push-pull on the two knobs, one input jack Neutrik locking, a lock-Dunlop strap provided, a nut Graph Tech and mechanical self-locking Grover.

490R and 498T humbucker pickups ensure the quality of sound without any quality loss. The sensitivity and precision microphones are waiting for you or even the most skillful  guitarists. All this high-end equipment is very efficient but correspondingly increases the weight of the guitar, heavier than the traditional Les Paul. Painting with flame patterns is very beautiful and is discrete to not take precedence over all other assets of this guitar that nevertheless remains restricted to a few people.

Fender Stratocaster Road Worn '50s Review

Who does not dream of owning an original 50s, 60 or 70 Fender guitar, worn and roughened by time? By proposing this new Road Worn '50s Stratocaster series, Fender already knows they have a hit with musicians and that success will be met.
What about when looking at this model more closely? Above all it is important to note that this is a USA model and not Mexico, the error could be committed as soon as the sensation of holding a vintage guitar is stirring and impeccable quality finish! The attention to aging of the guitar, body and equipment is perfect. It's really nice and it's hard to rest the guitar.

For the rest of the features we are faced with a standard model Stratocaster Mexico, more modestly with her black dress. No technological extravaganza. This is perhaps the only downside a guitar that costs almost 1000 euros! We can always justify that in 1950, which inspired this model, there was really no choice for electronics.
The sound delivered by Fender pickups is typical, clear and sometimes a little crunchy depending upon usage and with good momentum. Low frequencies slightly behind but quickly offset by the regulation of the amp. But again for a guitar which the bet is to draw an old '50s model, all the ingredients. This is a faultless, the feeling of owning an old guitar is indeed done.

Gibson ES-339 Custom Shop Review

Made exclusively in Custom Shop Gibson, The ES-339 guitar is a very current version of the ES-335 completely redesigned for the comfort of musicians. Its strength comes from its smaller size, rather respecting the template of Gibson Les Paul. A real asset that mainly targets younger fans of Les Paul or SG. This model thus affects a wider audience, including from the female who will find a more stylish and light guitar. The overall balance of the guitar is very nice for the grip. Particular attention has been paid to the resonance of the box. Yet smaller than the ES-335, the case resonates with precision, clarity and good volume. Acoustically the guitar already sounds very well.

So what does it do once connected? Gibson chose two '57 classic humbuckers to sound the whole. A choice well studied since the guitar is quite comfortable to interpret all the directories, of course blues, jazz, rock and hard rock and metal! And yes, the test of the ES-339 guitar has made the metal that this guitar makes almost the same level of a Lespaul or an SG. The gap is even lighter depending on the type of amplifier used. We used a Peavey Classic 30 amp tube and it could easily play all tracks of AC / DC. The promise of a versatile guitar is held by the Gibson Custom Shop. The sound is distinctive and varied depending on the position of the potentiometers. Even at low volume, the energy of microphones confirms that it is a quality model. The deposit of the Custom Shop is an additional guarantee of a choice of woods and a noble flawless manufacturing.
For the rest of the gear we find the solid mechanical butterflies, the bridge tune-o-matic ABR and Stop Bar usual brand Gibson, all of whom have proven themselves. The very fact that its price positioning makes it a must if we look for a versatile guitar upscale, very beautiful with her red dress stamped with the ancient legendary Gibson logo .
